I've been hearing about this new site called Twitter lately. I didn't understand why people are journaling throughout the day. Do I care that you just pulled up to the red carpet at the Oscars? Or that you are taking your lunch break? But I figured there must be something more to it since it's so popular, so I signed up for an account. Let me tell you something...it's actually pretty cool!
I now follow people, like Barak Obama and Ellen Degenerous, and firms like Seattle Weekly, the Onion and CNN. When I log into my account I can see new links that each "follower" has posted. For example, today I found a link from Seattle Weekly with best cheap eats in Seattle, but also breaking national news. It seems like this site is a way to combine multiple web sites...now I can visit one place and get headlines from all of them!
